TEXT FORMATTING PROCESS (INTERIOR)

AUTHOR TO SUPPLY FINAL EDITED WORD FILE
  1. Initial sample pages for approval. 
  2. Design & layout of print format. (One print format size) (the text manuscript MUST be 100% edited for this process to proceed) (If author requires more then one print format size, then there will be additional fees)
  3. Supply print format text PDF (This is for the author’s proofreader to proof and mark up if any errors, if any)
  4. Correct proofreader marked up PDF manuscript errors (if any) from the proofreader and to supply final corrected print format PDF text ready for print.

P.S: (N.B: if there is an index/Appendix/footnotes/endnotes in a manuscript, you must notify me and let me know as this is a time consuming process and not included in quote. Author’s indexer must supply index/Appendix (if any). 

​IMPORTANT TIPS ON TEXT FORMATTING:  PLEASE NOTE: (AUTHOR EDITOR MAY ALREADY KNOW ALL THIS)

1. The word text manuscript MUST be 100% edited and before submitting.

2. Ideally use Times New Roman (but not essential) (I find this works well to insure visibility of quotation marks and maintains italics and bold formatting)

3. MOST IMPORTANT: DO NOT press return (enter) at the end of lines. Only at the end of a paragraph.

4. DO NOT USE MANUAL TABS.

5. DON’T’ INSERT GAPS between paragraphs. Just press return once after a particular paragraph. In the case you want a text break insert ***  (If any in the manuscript) 

6. There must only be ONE SPACE after a full stop or period. NOT TWO. DON'T USE SPACE BAR FOR LARGE SPACES OR LINE BREAKS. 


FOLLOW THIS AND THE PROCESS WILL BE VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD and save time and cost.

Also author must supply interior images/illustrations if any in the book. There may be an additional fee for this depending on how many images to be inserted in print and ebook format. I can insert 5-10 images without charge. Anything above 10 images will incur an additional fee. IMAGES /PHOTOS MUST BE SENT SEPARATELY as high resolution jpegs, tif files or eps and not within the word file.  If you have images to be inserted please provide caption details for under each image.
